Overview
Suppliers in Shelflife store your vendor contact information and lead times, making it faster to create purchase orders.
Adding a supplier
Go to the Suppliers page and click "Add supplier." Fill in:
- Name (required) — The supplier or vendor name
- Email (optional) — Contact email
- Phone (optional) — Contact phone number
- Location (optional) — Supplier location or address
- Lead time (optional) — Average number of days from placing an order to receiving it
Why lead time matters
When you set a lead time for a supplier, Shelflife automatically pre-fills the expected delivery date when you create a purchase order from that supplier. This saves time and helps keep your delivery estimates consistent.
Editing and deleting suppliers
Click on any supplier to edit their details, or use the delete button to remove them.
Plan limits
- Free plan — Up to 10 suppliers
- Growth plan — Unlimited suppliers
If you've reached the limit on the free plan, you'll see a prompt to upgrade.
