What Shelflife does
Shelflife is a Shopify inventory forecasting app. It watches your sales data, models how each product variant is moving, and tells you when something is going to run out before it actually does.

Built for Shopify, not beside it
We use the word "embedded" deliberately. Shelflife lives inside the Shopify admin. It uses Polaris, Shopify's own design system, so the interface looks and behaves like a native part of the admin rather than something bolted on from outside.
There is no second login. No separate website. No tab you have to keep open somewhere else. You access Shelflife from inside your Shopify admin, in the same environment where you already manage everything.
For merchants running their store themselves or with a small team, this matters. Every tool that lives outside the admin is a place you have to remember to check. An embedded Shopify app removes that friction.

The free plan includes actual stockout forecasting and actual email alerts. It is not a trial and it does not expire. You can use it indefinitely.

The free plan is there because we want to offer a free option for smaller stores. The Growth plan is there for stores that need more reach and tighter control.
Purchase orders and suppliers, included
Knowing a product will run out is only half the problem. The other half is doing something about it before it does.
Shelflife includes lightweight purchase order tracking and supplier management. You can create a PO inside the app, record the incoming quantity and expected delivery date, and link it to a supplier.
On the Growth plan, you also get delivery reminder emails when open POs are approaching their expected date. No more POs that get logged and forgotten.
This is not a full procurement system. It is the minimum you need to close the loop, built into the same place you track everything else.
